Sr. Kathy Flood, OSF, is a Sister of Saint Francis of Philadelphia and a native New Yorker. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science degree from the New York Institute of Technology. In the midst of a successful career in information technology, she discerned a call to religious life and eventually began initial formation with the Sisters in 2011. Sr. Kathy earned a graduate certificate in Theological Studies at Villanova University and earned a Master of Science degree in Pastoral Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Neumann University. She professed her perpetual vows in 2019.
In addition to her pastoral responsibilities at the parish, Sr. Kathy is also a national board-certified counselor, licensed in the state of Delaware (LACMH), with a private counseling practice in the northern Wilmington area. Her clinical experience includes providing pastoral care and counseling services in parish, community, academic, and emergency shelter settings. Sr. Kathy’s group counseling experience includes bereavement and grief processing groups and self-help groups for those who have suffered loss by suicide.
